Adi Dagan - Co Founder and CEO
Adi Dagan, Co-Founder of MCS, has served as CEO since its inception and is on the Board of Directors. Prior to founding MCS, Adi established and managed a business consultancy firm H.M. Ltd., where he was involved in strategic planning, marketing, entrepreneurship, and was instrumental in recruiting private investors and organizing share issues for a number of start-up companies. Adi received his
degree
in Industrial and Management Engineering from Tel-Aviv University.
Dr. Jacob Barak - Co Founder and CTO
Dr. Barak has extensive experience in developing innovative medical devices both in Israel and in the USA, and is the inventor of the MCS Continuous Enhanced Circulation Therapy technological platform. Dr. Barak was trained in Israel (Ichilov, Beilinson-Tel Aviv) and USA (MGH-Boston), and until 2001, prior to full time recruitment to MCS, he was active cardiac surgeon and member of the medical faculty of Sackler School of Medicine, Tel- Aviv University. Dr. Barak served as the Scientific Director of the cardiovascular research laboratories in the Ichilov and Beilinson hospitals in Tel Aviv, and was a scientific consultant and member of the International Scientific Advisory Board of Abiomed (USA), renowned for the development of the total artificial heart. Numerous medical patents are registered under his name, predominantly in the vascular and cardiovascular fields.
Ori Mor - CFO
Ori Mor, brings with him ten years of experience as both a C.I.O and as an Investment Analyst with various participants in the Israeli capital market. In his previous position, Mr. Mor was the C.I.O at Halman-Alduby Group. Prior to this, Mr. Mor headed the investment section for provident funds at FIBI Bank, the fifth largest bank in Israel. Ori received his B.A. in Economics and Business and M.A. in Economics from Ben Gurion University.
Charlie Harrison - VP, Commercial Operations
Charlie Harrison has served as Vice President of Medical Compression Systems, Inc. (MCS) since September 2009. Prior to joining MCS Management, Charlie was President, CFO, Director and a Founder of Wynden Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a private pharmaceutical company focused on electrolyte management, and also served as a Director of Medical Compression Systems Ltd. since 2004.
Early in his career, Charlie led Organon Pharmaceuticals’ entry into the surgical muscle relaxant business. Charlie then shifted to lead marketing for Organon Diagnostics and, subsequently, for a division of SmithKline. After SmithKline, Charlie became President, CFO and a Director of Unimed, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on Cancer and AIDS therapies. Subsequently, he served as CEO in the launch of Creative Products Resource, a development company focused on dermatological and other consumer products that was ultimately sold to Dial Corporation.
More recently, Charlie ran the therapeutics business of Serologicals Corp., a division he grew to revenues in excess of $100 million through organic growth and acquisitions. Prior to his involvement with Wynden Pharmaceuticals, Charlie founded and led Critical Strategies, a consulting business that provided commercial and financial strategic advisory support to life science companies. Charlie serves as Chairman of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Region and as a Director of SEMDA, the Southeast Medical Device Association. Charlie received his B.S. in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
JL Tyner - VP
Sales
James L. Tyner brings over 25 years of orthopedic product sales experience to MCS. Since 1983, JL has worked with a broad range of orthopedic products in the operating room, in physician’s offices, with distributors and DME dealers and with orthotic and prosthetic offices and has built substantial direct and indirect sales operations. He has served as a regional manager for DonJoy Orthopedic, as Vice President of Sales for Townsend Design, as Director of Sales for Bauerfeind USA, Inc. and most recently as the Director of Digital DME for Biomet. JL has a particular passion and track record of success in bringing new technologies to market and has established relationships across the US. JL received a degree in business management from East Carolina University.
